Before becoming a FitNut Loft coach, Anita was a chiropractic clinic assistant so you know she’ll make sure that you’re taking care of your body as you go from workout to workout. An avid runner and hiker, she once walked 55km in 12.5 hours in a single day!
Despite being such a boss with her physical activities, Anita also has a laid-back and relaxed side to her. She loves reading, cross-stitching, and watching anime in her free time, truly embodying her motto “learn to rest, not quit.” She’s also really good at fashion design, especially because she graduated with a degree in that specialty.
Now if you want to challenge her and take her out of her comfort zone, ask her to go rock climbing with you. If she says no, just start playing Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s song “When You Believe” and you’ll most likely get her to come along, singing through each step of the climb.
She’s a big fan of Japan and will take any opportunity to travel to the country, and while you’re there, try getting her a Fuji apple because it’s her favourite healthy snack! That’s one way to get on Anita’s good side and get your name written in the daily journal that she keeps.
Anita is a certified Bare Foot Training Specialist, both in Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 of this certification allows Anita to know how to prep the body for movement by tapping into the nervous system with barefoot science, foot-to-core sequencing, and reflexive stability via fascial lines, while Level 2 explores the ground-up movement and foot-to-core sequencing. The latter focuses on the concept of sensory science as it relates to movement efficiency and the transfer of energy during gait and the powerful assessment technique for walking and running gait.
